Backorder Policy

What's a Backorder?

If an order is placed on a product that is listed as back-ordered (or is advised due to no inventory), our protocol at WattWheelz is to charge the customer's credit card or PayPal account at the time the order is placed. This helps us maintain more control over any fulfillment delays. Our goal is to avoid:

  • Undesired delays in the receipt of your product, which could occur if there are changes to your payment information or if there is a delay in providing updated details to us.
  • Intentional attempts at fraud by customers who might provide false payment information with the intent of fraudulently receiving products.
  • The collection and handling of your sensitive financial information through delayed order fulfillment and shipment. We have strict internal controls in place to minimize the risk of fraud, and we make every effort to avoid handling sensitive financial data.

This protocol is designed to avoid costly and frustrating issues like postponed shipments, cancellations, or fraudulent attempts to receive shipments. These problems often arise when incorrect or false payment information is submitted, either intentionally or unintentionally. By processing your payment at the time of order, we can minimize these risks and keep our prices lower for you, our valued customer. Thank you for your understanding and patience regarding any backorders you may place with us.


While Waiting...

If you've placed a backorder and did not intend to do so, you may take the following actions:

  1. Review other comparable products on our site and consider purchasing an alternative. If you would like to modify your order, please place a new order and contact us immediately so we can issue a refund for your original order.
  2. If your order has not yet shipped, we can cancel and refund your order in full once we confirm the cancellation with the manufacturer. Simply email us at support@wattwheelz.com with your cancellation request. You can also inquire about inventory availability so you can place a new order when the item becomes available.

Please allow a minimum of four (4) business days for your credit card company to post the credit.

Unless we receive written confirmation from you via email about any of the above actions prior to shipment, we will assume you wish to keep your current order in place until the product becomes available. In this case, we will continue to work closely with the manufacturer to fulfill your order as quickly as possible and will provide you with shipping and tracking information once it's available.


Important Note: All estimated delivery times (ETAs) are subject to change. WattWheelz cannot control the timing of orders as we are solely an authorized dealer for the brands we carry and not the manufacturers themselves.
