The Y-VOLT Surge V is a high-performance electric dirt bike built for experienced adult riders who want motorcycle-level acceleration, long-travel suspension and a large 4.3kWh battery in an electric off-road platform. Its permanent-magnet synchronous drive system is rated at 15kW and reaches up to 35kW peak output, with a manufacturer-claimed top speed of up to 68 mph and 0–60 mph acceleration of approximately 4 seconds.
The Surge V is for riders specifically looking for a high-speed electric dirt-bike experience, not a conventional Class 1/2/3 commuter e-bike. Eco mode is intended to soften response and prioritize efficiency, while Standard provides balanced everyday power delivery. Sport increases throttle response and acceleration, and Off-road is intended for loose-surface performance. The Y-VOLT app adds additional personalization and vehicle information. Because the Surge V produces dramatically more power than a bicycle-class e-bike, riders should approach each mode as they would a performance motorcycle rather than a pedal-assist bicycle.
The FASTACE fork provides 245 mm of travel and separate damping adjustments that allow experienced riders to tune the front end for terrain and riding style. The rear shock also provides compression and rebound adjustment. With 12.2 in. of ground clearance and a 54.3 in. wheelbase, the chassis is designed around off-road stability, bump absorption and aggressive riding rather than compact urban maneuverability.
The 97.2V 45Ah pack stores roughly 4.3kWh and uses Samsung cells in Y-VOLT’s current specification. Y-VOLT lists a full-charge time of approximately three hours with its proprietary fast charger. As with any high-capacity lithium system, charging should be performed with the manufacturer-supplied equipment and according to Y-VOLT’s storage and temperature guidance.
Four-piston hydraulic disc brakes provide the stopping system, while the adaptive LED headlight and integrated rear LED improve visibility. StarLoop ambient lighting adds a distinctive visual signature. The electrical architecture uses RS-485 and CAN communication between vehicle systems.
The Surge V should not be represented as a normal street-legal e-bike.
