The Rattan Pathfinder is a full-size 26 x 4 in. fat-tire e-bike built for riders who want all-terrain capability, a traditional step-over frame and a large 400 lb payload rating. Its 750W sustained / 1200W peak motor, 48V 15Ah battery and hydraulic braking system make it a strong fit for mixed terrain, outdoor utility and long recreational rides.

Why the Pathfinder stands out

  • 26 x 4 in. fat-tire platform: larger wheels roll over rough surfaces more easily than compact 20-inch fat tires.
  • 750W sustained / 1200W peak motor: up to 80 Nm of torque for hills and heavier loads.
  • 48V 15Ah / 720Wh battery: manufacturer-claimed range of approximately 40–65 miles.
  • Hydraulic brakes: 180 mm front and rear rotors for stronger stopping control.
  • Remote-lockout suspension fork: lets the rider firm the fork on smoother roads and open it for rougher terrain.
  • 400 lb payload rating: useful for larger riders, cargo and outdoor gear.

Best for

The Pathfinder makes the most sense for trail-to-road riding, gravel, hunting access, outdoor recreation, heavier riders and buyers who prefer a conventional full-size e-bike feel. Compared with Rattan’s folding models, it trades compact storage for bigger wheels, a longer chassis and more traditional handling.

Ride character

The Pathfinder’s 26-inch wheels and long wheelbase favor stability and rollover rather than compact maneuverability. That makes it better suited to longer stretches of gravel, dirt, uneven pavement and open trail use than a small-wheel folding bike. The fat tires add flotation and traction, while hydraulic braking matters when the bike is carrying a heavier rider or cargo.

Who should choose something else?

If storage space is the priority, look toward the LF/LM 750 PRO, Pinus or Ultra models. If a torque sensor is the priority, the Sequoia is the stronger fit. The Pathfinder is for the buyer who values full-size stability, straightforward power and payload capacity.

Performance notice: manufacturer range and speed figures vary in real use. Rider weight, terrain, temperature, wind, tire pressure, cargo and assist level can materially change performance. Follow local e-bike speed and access rules.
